    Unhappy interesting bug

i didn't follow the normal procedures for reporting a bug because of two reasons:
    1. It doesn't affect a specific point in the game
    2. It usually goes away after i reload the game
    here's what happens
i occures in battles, before i enter the battle map starts to load, while i'm in the battle, or, especially annoying right after i finish the battle, after the battle statistics.
i's not that bad because basicly i can goo on with my campaign but it's realy frustrating to have to fight some battle more than once. and another thing it doesen't matter what nation i play, but it's more frequent with the romans.
another thing. i used to have EB 1.0 and it did not have this problem.
if you can help me please do

I too am experiencing lockups during the game. I can't ctrl-alt-del to the task manager, but I can close EB through alt-F4.
To me it occurs especially during and at the end of battles and also at the end of AI turns.

another thing, i think it might be a hardware problem, but that doesen't explain why EB 1.0 din't have these problems.
i'm saying it might be a hardware problem because i reinstalled my windows 3 time and RTW about 5-6 times and i tried different download sources for the updates....so i don't konw

I've pretty much eliminated this CTD by waiting 15-20 seconds before continuing past the statistics screen. It still happens from time to time but nowhere near as much as it used to

Its because your hardware cant cope after the massive graphics slog of a battle. Wait 30 seconds after the victory/defeat stats screen is up. Let your computer settle, and you should be fine. I have heard of this thing before. Also try leaving your pc off for a few hours before playing EB. Try and keep the PC as cool as possible too.

ok so that would fix the after battle CTD, but what about the before or middle battle ctd,
my system configuration is pentium 4, 3,06 ghz, 768 RAM, video card win fast px 7300 128 mb.
the only problem seems to be my RAM but i'm planing to upgrade them this week.

Before battle crash sounds like you need the "missing sprites" fix. During battle crash is rare; I know some have experienced it when charging a certain cavalry unit, but otherwise it usually means faulty hardware.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

There's one thing you can do to help prevent lock-ups mid-battle:
Disable the cut-scenes (when the enemy general is killed; when a wall comes down or whatever...) which is IIRC part of the preferences text file.

These cut scenes tend to be a bit of a hit on your hardware compared to the rest of the battle.

Post battle CTD's can be alleviated by giving the e~005 app time to do its cleanup work. A good measure would be to wait until the victory/defeat music has finished.
