Thread: 2 captains mixing together in one unit causing CTD.

Default 2 captains mixing together in one unit causing CTD.

First, thank you for this wonderfull mod.
Now the problem. I was playing as Baktria, crushing AS. All went well, until I got to a city of Arbela. In this city belonging to a AS a unit of heavy spearmen somehow gained a captain from Carthage. If I fight this unit, or just assasinate the Carthage captain, the game crashes. This is what i see in the game - AS captain with some named started with K... mixed with a Carthage captain Celeas
Savegame and screenshot are incoming in the next post.
Meanwhile, I will have to stop my Great Baktrian Invasion. I dont really mind, but those two captains sitting together is a CTD waiting to happen.
    Thank you for your time.

This has been reported a precious few times earlier, one of them not using EB. So it's an RTW problem. I can't remember how to circumvent it nor what to search for in the forum.

But I think perhaps you'll get off it by teleporting the army in question to a remote island where it won't get in contact with any other army.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

Interesting, thanks for a quick response. Now I just have to find how to teleport units...
Meanwhile, I think it happened when computer tried to beat me on its own turn and retreated either after beign ambushed or after beign beaten. I will check other saves to make sure later today.

    All right, its me again.
Teleporting Captain Celeas did not help. I teleported him in the middle of nowhere. Now, however, I had 2 Captain Celeus-es - on sitting in the city, and when I click on him and then click on the looking glass it pointed me to the location I presumably teleported him into, except that there was noone there. There was just a white marker with yellow "area of movement" around it. When atacking the city Captain Celeas crushed the game.
What do I do now? Did Blue Horde And Great Overlord Of All Things Eastern finaly found an impenetrable limit to its extension?

Then I'm afraid I can't help you. I found the other thread, which indeed said you had to continuously move the army away to some remote place. If it doesn't make any difference, I guess your campaign is shot.
