Should a general get a bad retreating vice after running from 1 battle? And then should he get a crippling retreat vice after running from a second battle? I dont think this should happen so quickly as sometimes it is tacicly important to withdraw from a battle before you take to many casualties. maybe after withdrawing from 2 battles his men might start to wonder if hes a coward.

Anyway this is mainly to help the AI who needs all the help it can get! :P

    i agree monkey

my king got in a nasty fight cause i wasn't paying attention to the strategy map. we were outnumbered, but fought well. we took as many men if not more than we lost, then the royal guard was smashed, trying to kill the enemy general, and longshanks ran away.

now he has a good runner vice and lost all but one star. he's useless now.

I agree... If your men are routed in battle... then maybe get the full penalty of the vice but if you use the withdraw from battle ctrl+w then maybe 1/2 damage from the vise. I don't whish to abuse the withdraw feature, but a smart General may not want to risk getting all his men slaughtered just so that he wont get a running vice.

Any ways to perhaps edit the vices?

Withdraw or rout from battle may be considered as bad and could be penalized with bad vice. However, retreat to castle should not be penalized because that is the main reason for building the castle.

Retreating to a castle isn't always penalized. I had a spearman/decoy in austria who withdrew to his castle twice in my latest HRE campaign and he's only very lazy (suitable but problably coincidental...).
Nope - no sig what so ever.
