Seems rather odd that that means you can only take one screenshot per game (I mean, having to quit), but since I don't particularly care for the usual screenies and only want to take a pic of my empires, when they're "complete" (as large and impressive as I want them) and of whatever hilarious graphical mistakes the game sometimes make, I'll do just fine![]()
Moreover, I advise that Syracusans must be added to EB (insp. by Cato the Elder)
Is looking forward to the 2090's, when EB 20.0 will be released - spanning the entire Eurasian continent and having no Eleutheroi - with a faction for every independent state instead. Look out for the Gedrosians, the Cretans and the kingdom of Kallatis!
Believe me, that's too technical for me. Besides my computer is too slow for that to be enjoyable - having other programs running besides EB prolly won't help either. But don't worry, I don't need plenty of screenshots, so you've solved my problem :)

Hmmmm. Rome has a built-in screenshot device, which takes screenshots when hitting print and puts them into a folder called TGAs, located in the Rome - Total War folder. At least my RTW does...

Yes, although many report that the screenshots turn up blank. I am told it has something to do with the anti-aliasing setting. Also, you need a program to convert .tga to .jpg or .bmp's.
FRAPS can be downloaded here; Howie's screenshot program is available here. Howie's has the advantage of being able to save in .jpg, which takes less space, however FRAPS is more stable in my experience, and if you register it (and pay a small fee) it'll also save in .jpg's.

That is interesting. Well, i think i have anti-aliasing disabled.
A free program which can open and convert .tga is for example GIMP, for anyone who is interested in this method.
