Thread: occasional slowdown while playing Saby'n

Default occasional slowdown while playing Saby'n

While playing the Sabaean campaign (EB 1.1), I used to encounter a great slowdown in frame rate.
Hadn't occured with any other faction. Also this problem seems to have stopped after I upgraded to BI.

Anyone else encountered this while using EB 1.1 along with vanilla RTW?

EB is a very heavy modification so it may lag on even the heaviest of pc's. On top of that there's also the infamous RTW memory leak, which can cause an enormous drop in the frame rate at times. My experiece also tells me that playing with BI helps, but it doesn't take it away completely.

These occasional slowdowns are usually due to moving an army or agent further than he can move in a turn. Simply find a city and move a unit outside and back in to get the normal performance. If that's not the case, perhaps you have some stuff running in the background such as an antivirus program that kicks in occasionally.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.
