    Default Startup CTD

I installed Europa Barbarorum version 1.1 at C:\Europa Barbarum on a Windows XP. I reinstalled vanilla Rome 1.5 at C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War before mod installtion. I did not install any of the three additional features, they were to confusing in previous installations.
When I click the EB shortcut, the first small Rome screen shows up, the briefly goes to the fullscreen Europa Barbarorum. After about a second it goes back to the desktop.
I added -mod:eb to the shortcut, tried the install validation, checked the posted 1.1 fixes, but none of them worked. I looked through the first few pages in this forum for any matching problems, but I couldn't find an answer.
I would appreciate any help offered, and if there is an obvious solution to this I'm sorry I missed it. I'm sort of a noob.

Why? Well, this is where most people who can't run EB have made a mistake. The path/adress you see there is set to be something by default: C:\...\Rome Total War
However, for many people this is not the correct folder to install EB to.
Trick is to fill in the exact same folder, as the one which contains your clean RTW 1.5 on that line. (So: either the exact same folder as the one which you installed RTW in or the backup.) You can do this by typing the entire path, or by left clicking "Browse":
and select the folder of your clean RTW 1.5 (similar to selecting a picture from file to insert in Word, however this time you select your RTW 1.5 file folder instead of the "picture").
    ...

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.
