Hail.
As waiting for the mod downloading, I request information on why does not there seem to be the nation of Thrace? It is definately my favourite nation in these subjects.
Yours, Faravid.

The tribes were not united I guess, but I sure as hell miss them and their wicked helmets as well.

Yeah, after the defeat of Lysimachos there was no united Thracian power anymore. You can play with the Getai, though.
Looking for a good read? Visit the Library!
Getai reminds more of Dacians, but close is better than none.
Other thing riding in my mind is that how can I view more posts in a single page?
Well, the Dacians are generally accepted as a Thracian tribe so...

And the Getai have more of a vanilla Thracian like roster than a vanilla Dacian roster.
I´d say the Getai are to vanilla-Thrace pretty much what Lusotannan are to vanilla-Spaniards.
The Appomination
I don't come here a lot any more. You know why? Because you suck. That's right, I'm talking to you. Your annoying attitude, bad grammar, illogical arguments, false beliefs and pathetic attempts at humour have driven me and many other nice people from this forum. You should feel ashamed. Report here at once to recieve your punishment. Scumbag.
The Getai also have full access to all the Thracian regionals; actually, if you wanted, you could start as the Getai, then make a quick migration down to Thrace. You would hardly even need to cheat; with a little luck and some elbow grease, you would have a Thracian kingdom up-and-running in no time.
In fact, that's not a bad idea.
The Dacians did at one point actually occupied the province which the Getai start in. Around 100 b.c. or sorts.
BLARGH!
Dacians = Getai = Northern Thracians, the tribes finally got united early 1st century AD under Burebista.
Getae/Getai is the greek equivalent of the latin Dacii, If I'm not mistaken.
If you ended up in one of those games where Makedonia is vanquished early by KH or Epeiros, it would be like taking candy from a baby. And if you ended up in one where Makedonia grew and grew, you'd still be able to secure Thrace long before they were done fighting in the south. There'd actually be NO reason to cheat
Hey, I'm even starting to consider doing that, even if I had sworn never to play as anything else than Parthians, Hellenes and Carthage.... ;/
EDIT: started one, made Byzantion my capitol, took Nikaea, Kallatis and Tylis and abandoned starting province. Makedonia, Pontus and AS are all happy to have me as an ally, as they apparently have problems enough. Will use the next decades building up my kingdom.

Moreover, I advise that Syracusans must be added to EB (insp. by Cato the Elder)
Is looking forward to the 2090's, when EB 20.0 will be released - spanning the entire Eurasian continent and having no Eleutheroi - with a faction for every independent state instead. Look out for the Gedrosians, the Cretans and the kingdom of Kallatis!
When playing as the Getai, the FL starts with a trait called "potential uniter", and lists the settlements that he needs to capture to "reunite" Thrace. Presumably if he does this he'll get some sort of Command/Influence bonus, but I never got there.
And yes, the Thracian infantry are fantastic!
One balloon for not being Roman
Certainly, they are my only fear when playing as the Makedones. You see, while missiles might make short work of them, I tend not to use many of them for gameplay reasons, prefering rock-solid Hellenic phalanxes. So when I counter an army of theirs, the result will mostly be a victory, with my main phalanx line almost untouched and my flankers chewed to pieces...
