Am i missing something? I know when i move my units to some one else's area, i declare war. The ai however.... If i dont check to see who im at war with i just dont know. its annoying to find your flornes go from 10000 to 1000 because someone declared war, didnt move any armies into your land and has blocked your trade routes. I must have gone 2 or 3 years without knowing. there should be a big parchment that says "the cheeze eating surrender monkey french have delared war, Prepare to defend the empire"

Often the AI declares war by attacking one of your ships, maybe that was what happened. I think something always happens to declare war. The AI can`t declare war without attacking, just as the player.

what i mean is, if they attack a ship, and nothing comes of the ship battle, then there is no message saying they declared war and if nothing happend in the sea zone then you dont know youre at war.
