Adult swim. Good stuff. It's definitely for those in an altered state of mind, whether chemically or permanently.

    Same here.

Also, like atheotes, I catch the occasional episode of Batman, Superman, and/or the Justice League. In addition, I thank Reverend Joe for reminding me of Aqua Teen Hunger Force -- that show's way too funny & demented.

    I do:

My all-time favorite; The Venture Bros. - Probably one of the best toons out there on Adult Swim and in general.

Family Guy - A frog, peanut butter and jelly time, evil monkey in the closet, and death...and Peter's never ending duel with the Chicken is a bit strange but other than that it's rather entertaining.

    Futurama - bender is hilarious

Robot Chicken- Does this even count as a cartoon??

South Park: wasn't really allowed to watch it during high school but I've been watching it now and am wondering why the heck did I not get on it early

Mostly animes like Gundam, Dragonball Z, Death Note, Witchblade, Speed Grapher, and, embarrassingly, Sailor Moon.

Also South Park, Family Guy, American Dad, and (though not all that often) The Simpsons.

    Signed.

The Boondocks is also pretty great, not to mention ATHF and Robot Chicken though the latter isn't really a cartoon as much as it is stop-motion. Even if it doesn't technically count it deserves mention cuz it's so good.

Futurama is a classic as well, so many good one liners.. as well as the saddest ending to an episode ever recorded in a cartoon.

Metalocalypse deserves a mention as well, it's so completly over the top in it's gore and black humor but I just can't help but laugh.

Agreed. I don't watch Boondocks at all or Metalocalypse. But which Futurama episode are you talking about?? I've had trouble keeping up

I forget it's name, but the one where Fry finds his petrified dog in dolomite (it's dolomite baby!), bender gets all jealous cuz he start remembering all the good times he had with him (his name was seymour). Fry's life in the 20th century sucked except for that dog.. the proffessor suggests reviving seymour with one of his inventions but when fry finds out seymour lived for (i think) 13 years after he was frozen he decides not to. Fry believes his dog had a fulfilling life, and "probably forgot all about me."

The truth is however, Seymour sat outside the pizza shop fry used to work at every day for the rest of his life, waiting for his master to come home. The final shot of the episode is a weathered seymour laying down on his stomach and closing his eyes one last time.

    It was "Jurassic Bark" Monk.

The fourth season of Futurama is the emotional one to me. That episode, the one with Leela and her parents ("Leela's Homeworld" ). The Space Honey episode ("The Sting") . It made me wonder, how will these 4 movie length episodes flesh out the storyline arching romance between Leela and Fry. Oh, I didnt know there was a fifth season as well!

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
In Bender's Big Score, Fry hates what turns out to be himself for having Leela fall in love with himself. Now I find out there is a fifth season, I really do hope they get together. It has to happen!

Yes, I did actually in fact only find out about the fifth season while typing this post.

Yah, I actually cried during that episode, and that's not often that happens. Futurama is great, its my favorite show right now. Family Guy's up there as well. South Park is sometimes great, other times is kinda meh. I watch some anime as well, at the moment, its Bleach and Death Note.

Thing is in Bender's big score they retconed that ending. A lot. A version of Fry does come back, eventually. Takes 5 or so years though. They even show how and why he gets pretrified in 2012.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
A time traveling Bender does it. In a slightly botched attempt to kill Fry.

That actualy exorcism segment is the only time I've laughed at the Boondocks. Rest of the time it's just not funny.
