Default General Opinion - Saka or Sauromatae?

    Greetings, young scholars.

Today, Strategos Haxios is in need of the general opinion. Since he has taken command of the Arche Makedonia, the Pahlava have been conquering like madmen. When the Pahlava have conquered the Arche Seleukeia, Strategos Haxios fears that -- ahem, he is concerned that they might pose a threat to some smaller factions like Baktria...in the year 197 before the birth of Christ.

The year is 197 before the birth of Christ (whoever that may be)

So Strategos Haxios has come up with a daring and cunning plan. More cunning than daring though, but to the point; he thought of magically taking over the Pahlavan steppe dominions and giving them away to a certain steppe faction. However, Strategos Haxios is uncertain whether he should give it to the Sauromatae or the Saka Rauka.

So Strategos Haxios once again asks -- ahem, demands that you young scholars post your ideas in this thread.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Also, Strategos Haxios is uncertain how to post a poll. Damn software updates.

Both. Giving something wholesale to just one faction is never a good solution. Keep your enemies divided and weak, not united and strong.

Split the lands from the Caspian up in half, adding one half to what the Saka already have, and the other half to the Sauromatae.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

Are you going to magically FD them away, or actually conquer the steppe with your mighty armies? In either case, Quintus is right, but if you must choose one faction, let it be the Sauromatae- they seem pretty weak as it is.

Sauromatae. They are almost exterminated; they could use a break.

I'd give the steppe holdings of Hayasdan and Getai to Sauromatae and the majority of the Pahlav steppe holdings to Saka with one or two to Sauromatae.

I'd also try to give Gaul back to the Aedui (from both Sweboz and Lusotanna), for a balance of powers in Europe...

Could also give the Belgae provinces to the Casse to throw something else into the mixture while reconsituting the Aedui.
