    Default problmes with RTR

OK I need some help. Just installed Rome Total Realism and for some reason I cannot play the game client. Every time I try to press play for the game the client doesn't even load and I am still staring at window screen. This happened after the game started playing and the initial loading screen of the game froze and the game crashed to desktop. Now I can't even access the game. What do I do?

i have had a couple odd problems with RTR also. if i try to play RTR BI, it just starts regular RTR with a different background. also i have noticed that the RTR site is apparently a spyware pit now. trying to go to the site just ends in IE closing with a spyware ad popping up wanting me to download a sweeper.

since we're on the topic of RTR, anyone know if the civil war around 50 BC between Julius Caeser and the Senate takes place? i would go to their site and try to find out myself but i dont feel like getting my comp fixed again, let alone the site just crashes after about ten seconds of trying to run active x controls i wont let it run. why is such an extensive conversion mod website full of spyware anyways??

EDIT: i just realised apparently i was going to a copied site purely set up for spyware maybe? the site i was refferring to was rometotalrealism.org. not the .com. the .com works fine with no threats. the .org is a spyware factory.
