To mod the EDU and keep the new settings

Hi,

I used to mod the EDU back in the days of 0.81. I changed armour values and formation depths of Phalangitai units. But it doesn't seem to work anymore now in 1.1.

Basically, I change the formation depth from 6 to 8 and save the EDU. I run the game and notice that my Phalangitai still are in a depth of 8 ranks. I look at the EDU again and guess, their formation depth is set to 6.



I had no problems whatsoever in editing expanded_bi.txt to alter the Epeirotes' name. Please tell me how to mod the EDU as well, I'm sure it's possible.

For the EDU you don't alter the one in the eb data has that is replaced each time you load the eb trivial script. Instead you change the one that the EB trivial script copies into the eb data. It should be somewhere in the base eb folder, and you'll be wanting to change the one that is for the singleplayer version of EB.
