I got a problem and hope somme one cane help me with it.
I got a brand new Computer: AMD 5600 dual core, 500 gig harddisk and 4 gig workmemory, i got a Nvidea ge force 8600GT magic 512MB and aa of this i got stack in a centurion5 coolmaster,

this machine cane play MTW II easy with all high settings but i CANT PLAY MTW VI it craches if i go from campain map to 3d battle map so i tryed custom battle and got a problem with my warriors if i point them out to attack they run to the otherside they even walk thrue the unit pic on bottom i cant point them with my mousse ?? wots going on here i cant play MTW VI with this machine and cant think of not playing my favorite game with the mods

Please any one is there a solution ??

Its an issue with the 8000 series of nvidia GPUs there is no fix as of yet.
if you still got your old graphics card and your new comp has dual card capabilities you might be able to put them both in and just swap which card is used in the BIOS if not, to put it bluntly, youre screwed

But isnt Nvidea making a update for it i guess a lot of people got problems with the 8000 series?
way make better graphic cards if you cant even play a game from a fue years old?? wots the use of it then ? cant activion do somme thing?

I would suspect that the short answer is "No".

I actually contacted nvidia for assistance, they gave me some possible fixes which did not work, then basically said "Well that's all that we can do, see ya."

Activision cant do nothing because the problem is the battle engine isnt being drawn right by 8000 series cards so only nvidia can fix it or else the game engine needs a compelte overhaul

this blows me right out of my socks unbelievable, that they cant fix this becose its to old i got games older then 10 years running on my new machine, i got all total war games originel and payed a lot of euro s for this card, and now i read it cant be solved, makes me think way buy Nvidea cards or games from activision sega if they cant help out there total war supporters. let me remind you in a fue years you cane only play MTW VI if you got a old machine with a old card with no updates for it, everybody is and most change to a newer computer becose all the new software is getting bigger and heavier, so i hope sega or Nvidea will make somme kind of update for it so there loyal players like me cane enjoy this game for many many years
