i installed the trivial script on a different location from the rest of the rome total war EB folder, will it still work?

I think it will work in any folder, because it knows where EB is no matter where it happens to be.

How do i know that the scripts -are- actually working?

You start the game from the Trivial Script shortcut on the Start Menu and EB loads.
