I was searching for a mini-mod naming the Legions but not found any . Is there any ?? Who is going to help me? :)

Konny at first , thank you for the reply , it was my fault , I had in my mind the Marian (Imperial )Legios , I found your post but it is only for Romans Allied Legions in Camillan and Polybian Era , there is nothing for Marian Legions if I belive right , am I?
As I know about real Roman Legions ,from history , they had names and numbers and I think it's a great loss for EB and us the lack of that option .

Try to imagine it, in the campaign map a Roman General carrys his flag , with the SPQR emblem , under the emblem could be a number ( VIII, XVII e.t.c) and a name ( Hispania , Fulminata, Gemina , Augusta et.c.) too . Is my idea effectible?

To do that you would need a different unit for each legion. There are mods around that have this feature, but not EB because it would require one of the (limited) unit slots each that we use for other factions' units instead. Eb has the "First Cohors" feature that makes all your Marian First Cohorts numbered from I to XXV (I think is the limit). That way you have distinctive legions, that are not named and look the same on the battlefield.

What I did was assinging the region names to the pre-Marian units. This feature could be used to assign Marian Legions different names. But all Legions from one settlement would have the same name with different numbers. For example all Legions form Arpi would be named "Legio (I to XXV) Whatnameyoulike". I think, BI uses this feature to assing all Legions form a certain province (group of settlements) a specific name.

I reached Marian reform era , I have Marian first Cohors , six if I remember well, but in unit card appears under the name of the cohor the word Legio with nothing else, nor a number or a name , is that a bug or something?
I am using RTW I dont have the BI unfortunetly!!:(

Yes this feature is broken with the 1.1 install. I am not sure if there is allready a fix around, but my mod fixes the error (it is just a missing line in one of the files).

I install your mod Konny , nothing different the same unit card "Legio nothing" and the worst think is that I am crushing like a hell . I can't make a turn without crushing, all this in a saved game .

When I installed Konny's mod I had to delete map.rwm from the maps folder and from the single player folder that the trivial script uses to overwrite files. When I did this the units were properly named.

Toaster single player folder is in EB/Data folder or not? Where is it , can you write it please?

Ah yes, that's I forgot: delete map.rwm because the regions file was changed.

The sp edu game backup folder is in the EB folder.

MT I found it , thank you mate , but you have to remove from there not only "map.rwm" but "export_descr_unit.txt" too , otherwise the Konny's mini-mod will not operate , I ve test it yesterday night many times . The only think that annoys me is the error message when game starting.
Is there any way to stop that ?

The game has now generated a new map.rwm in the maps folder. Copy that and the edu back into the sp edu game backup folder. No more error on start up.
