    Default Aggresive AI

What determines the aggresivness of the AI?

For example, if I don't want the Macedonians to expand more than they already have (this is just an example, remember that!) what do I have to change to make them... not expand, but just sit back and repel invaders?

well it's not exactly what you want , but it works... just give them negative money

    open RTW em...text window?

    and then write

    add_money macedon, -40000

if they keep expanding just keep sustracting money

Well, I was more looking for a way to make them not expand further than they already have in 272, same goes for the Seleucids and the Ptolemies, considering they had reached (almost) the pinacle of their power by this time and started to semi-decline after 270.

Force diplomacy or a lot of spies/assasins are your friend, I don't think there's any way to effectively "freeze" a faction.

well... there's a way... , you need to tweak victory_contions file located in the imperial_campaign folder , and you need to write the victory conditions for those factions , those factions' victory conditions should be only the cities they already posses ...

for more information on how to do it , there's a thread called "win conditions", its first posts are outdated , but if you go to the latest post there's a new 1.1 version , but NOT with the AS VC as you want them , or at least I'm not sure.

either way , in my campaign I was already at 238 and the AS and the ptolomai hadn't expanded at all... so perhaps the VC of that minimod are already as you want them to be

Actually, this is the best way to paralyse a faction. When they hit a certain level of being in the red, they stop doing anything.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR
