Default Do Hellenic/Hellenistic factions have an equivalent to triumphs?

I've not really fought enough big battles yet to see, but I'm playing as Epeiros, do I get any traits/events related to winning? With the Romans you got "Conqueror of ..." along with Vanquisher and such. Beating armies and grabbing territory eventually led to being granted a Triumph.

I see the Olympics as the election-to-offices analogue, is there a Triumph-analogue? At the very least are there Traits to be gained by generals who beat a lot of any one faction?

not that i have ever come across, i have played as Makedon several times, as well as Baktria, AS, Ptolies and KH. Never come across major awards, though you can get the Strategos trait i think...i might be dreaming

All I know is that the Sweboz get something like triumphs, "Wrecker of Celts" "Wrecker of Romans" "Wrecker of etc"

Not that I know of, but I have to admit that I like the hellenistic traits very much. Apparently, a lot more than the Roman ones, but that may be because I've played the Romans ten times more than any other faction, so the surprise element is lower.

Historically they did celebrate. A pompe=procession and sacrifices to the gods. "Daphne procession" was one of them.

According to classical sources, Antiochus IV invaded egypt twice, once in 169 BC and again in the spring of 168 BC. As the Babylonian diaries records, Antiochus and his men, in order to celebrate his victories made “a pompe and activities according to…their Greek customs”

    Quote:

    Diary No -168. A14-15: ITU.BI al-te-e um-[ma] An LUGAL ina URU.MES sa KUR Me-luhha sal-ta-nis GIN.GIN IT[U.BI] LU.pu-li-te-e pu-up-pe-e u ep-se-e-tu sa GIM u-sur-tu :U. la-a-man-nu

    The translation…

“…In that mont i heard that king Antiochus went victoriously into the cities of Egypt (lit. Ethiopia). In [that] month the citizens [made] a pompe and activities/rituals according to greek custom…”

This is something that I would love to see implemented in EB2, aka a procession, much like the "Daphne" procession or a glorified military parade.

So it will be akin to the Roman triumphs? Influence bonus of +1 or +2?

I was just interested in whether your character got Traits saying "Vanquisher of the ..." and so on. Do they?

They sure do. Gotta check your Strabo 'reports'.
