Question Event Log entry for CTD

    Greetings fellow enthusiasts

I have the same message each time I CTD, written in the Windows Event Viewer. It is always the same whether the CTD is in a battle or on the campaign map.

Application Log Messages always in a pair and they read:

30/06/2008 21:12:22 Error None 0 N/A OTTOMAN1 The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 7.

If anyone has an idea what might be causing this I would appreciate hearing about it. For ref all DXDIAG shows no errors and all drivers are up to date. Its the reference to a remote computer that particularly confuses me, but for all I know it is the proverbial red herring.

I think it just got a bit too technical for me

I have no idea. I think you should try other angles of attack, in particular the fixes and the frequent issues and workarounds.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.
