    Default phalanx drifting

I fought a custom battle with one unit phalangitai deuteroi and one unit of germanic pikemen. Halfway through the battle, the middle to the last rows started drifting backwards. The front two rows were still left fighting. In order to keep the whole unit together to fight the pikemen, I had to march through them. this happened before with some reformed pikemen. I've heard of a phalanx that drifts to the right, but not backwards. Is there a reason why they do this?

I believe that is part of the phalanx bug that was added with the upgrade to v1.5/v1.6.

    Anyone know why?

I hate that bug, sometimes my phalanx drift and are facing away from the enemy when engaging the fight. A bug that makes you look stupid.

That's kind of a wierd bug. y would they include one that makes half your unit wander off and let those who r still fighting carry the burden of their comrades?

Unintended consequence of another fix? Software companies generally don't intentionally include bugs in their programs.
