Default What text editor should I use to moddify export_VnVs.txt

I've tried with Textpad, Notepad++ and also winmerge , however none of them are capable of recognize the Sweboz special characters

the only program that does it is windows notepad

but I've read that using windows notepad isn't advisable at all... so I wonder which editor should I use?

I've used Notepad++ to good effect.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

I use ConTEXT. The best freeware text editor I've encountered so far.

yeah me too... at least for the other text files, but It seems it doesnt work with the description files (inside the text folder), the only ones that "work" are windows notepad and textpad , however I discovered that when I open the files with texpad it changes the encoding to ANSI which turns special character to "?" question marks. and well, windows notepad has a bad reputation around here I'll try context
