CTD when beginning campaign

Ok, I've installed all of the fixes. I have EB 1.1 on a clean install of RTW patched to 1.5. I can start EB, but after I select a faction and click the arrow to begin, I crash to desktop. I don't have any save files. When I run the EB validate file, I get this:

Any help would be appreciated as I'm trying to play EB for the first time.

A new wrinkle in the problem: I can play a custom battle just fine. Only the campaign crashes.

This happened to me when i first got EB. I found the problem originated with the site i used to download the client from, so completely uninstalling your version and downloading it again from a different site should fix this.
There may be a shorter way to do this, but you have the same problem i had, and thats how i fixed mine.

You seem to have a good enough installation though, apart from the traits and script files. I suggest getting those from the fixes thread and trying again before going to a time-consuming reinstallation.

It could also be a matter of drivers. Stone and Blood, another patron here, had similar problems with 1.0 until we cut away the voicemods, then with 1.1 until he got a new computer. It's really hard to know as it works on nearly everyone's system.

There are also a number of other suggestions in the validation sticky, including uninstalling Nero if you have it.
