Its amazing, isn't it, a lot of what Russell Davies does is naff, but then you get Daleks speaking German, and you think, my god, 40 years, and no one thought of that before. Genius.

BTW Doctor any idea on your next companion? Could we have Martha Jones back, because she was well fit.

    Seen it last night...

The plot was good consider who the writer is , but most of the vital plot points (like the semi-regeneration or the clones) weren't explained very well... so it will not be on fav episode, or series even.

I hope the next companion will be Jenny, as I somehow persuaded myself that she will return in the last episode...

Me neither. Well, to be precise, I've never managed to sit through an entire episode. I would love to like the show, but I just don't get it. Dr. Who is where Louis and British culture part.

I agree, though this series was better than last years'. I think they did the regeneration cliff hanger to build up interest and then the clone thing to get rid of Rose. I think Micky or Martha will appear in Torchwood, firstly because they are estiablished characters which people like, and secondly, there is only three white people on torchwood, so they need somebody not white.

I read somewhere on the internet that when the The Doctor runs out of regenerations and dies for good, that they where planning to continue the series he son/daughter, so I think she will be back one day.

    So did I.

No idea, next year there is only going to be 4 special episodes.

This is some alternate series of Doctor Who where they worry about consistency, and stuff? Mind you with RTD gone I suppose they might pay lipservice to it.

Jenny would surely be Buffy, in space. Nothing wrong with that mind you.

The German for "exterminate" is actually "ausrotten", but never mind.

Are you trying to say that I, being german and all, made a mistake in my first post when I wrote "exterminieren"?

Let me gift you this link.

Well I always thought it was simply an adaption of a Latin word, rather than a proper German one. This seems to back me up, though admitedly the Duden does trump it.

    Well...

I think English 'to exterminate' and German 'exterminieren' are false friends. That is, they appear to have the same meaning, but they do not. German exterminieren means 'to expel by force', not to 'exterpiate'. However, owing to the relative obscurity of the word 'exterminieren' in German, and their familiarity with the English verb 'to exterminate', many German speakers will mistake 'exterminieren' for an Anglocism, for sharing the English meaning.

For all practical purposes, the Dalek German 'exterminieren' will be understood by both English and German audiences to mean the same. What's more, probably unintentionally, it is as funny and obscure in German as it is in English. Dalek 'Exterminieren' is an Anglogerman German Anglocism.
