My son has really gotten into electronics at school. The kit version might be a good summer project for him. Pretty cool little gizmo.

I dunno, at $50 for the kit that's still very steep, BUT it does sound like a very good father/son project. Hopefully you've bought him one of those 100 in 1 electronics kits that you can build various devices with, I had one when I was younger and it was one of my favorite toys, after my LEGOs.
