Once you have established the new Persianate dynasty, you may call them Arshkânîg/Arshkanig (Which means "Arsacids").

Apart from that, I do believe Parthava only refers to the Satrapy of Parthia. Arshkânîg would be better.

The faction name is beyond my capacity to change; It should in fact be "Âpârnîg" or "Pârnîg". Back in 272 BCE there was no such thing as an Arsacid dynasty; It had to first be established by the one Arsaces who toppled Andragoras/Pherecles and dubbed himself Arsaces I. However it was the Arsacids who gave rise to the legend of the "champion horse-men", or "Pahlavân"; Their succession in Parthia proper, or Parthava, caused a transition in the nomenclature of the area. Parthava became Pahlava. It is the idea that counts.
Yeah, migraine-inducing when you give a serious moment of thought. Today's terminology is fucked up thanks to a bunch of senile folks who want everything to be simplified for them (When it usually needs a correct abstraction).

Thanks for your reply guys and thanks always goes to TPC for his detailed history of ancient Iran. In fact as I have a number of spies in the area, I noticed that many FM of the Pahlava have the name Arshkânîg/Arshkanig, so that will be the faction name once they establish an empire.
Cheers.
Pahlava is one of my favourite factions...when I re-install EB (cause my computer is in its deathbed now) I will definetely play them again.
Too bad we have so little info on them, I have been looking the net for weeks in search of some good site or pdf
