Thanks to those who have helped identify the lost players.

Pms promptly dispatched to those who played the first game but has yet to sign up for this one.

Just 9 hours and about 20 minutes left.

I have readied the different role pms but will not assign roles until the deadline for signing up has passed.
Deadline is 2000 hours GMT (check the world clock at the bottom of this forum for reference).
When this deadline has passed, I will randomly assign roles to the signed up players.
The game starts at 2000 GMT and the pms will be distributed from that time in an randomly order.

The game will be similar to the old, but it will be fresh with new surprises, twists and turns.
I hope all of you will enjoy it.

Mafia games in the Gameroom? What joker told you that?

Gah. How on earth will I ever find rest and peace if people keep advertising these games. One day of silence, that's all I'm asking for

I don't know. Some guy named Sigurdsomethingorother...

A total joker. I'm glad you agree with me that he is a joker. Whoever this guy is...

I totally agree. I have this one guy who stops in my profile almost every day. And he has this really stupid obnoxious signature that screams out about something called "mafia games." I've also heard a rumor that this same guy still won't even finish his write up for a game he ran months ago.

    Round 1

The entourages of the rulers of the Norse world were greeted by a young man at Alþingi, Iceland. He introduced himself as the law speaker of Alþingi (Althing) and that he would conduct this session at Althing. The Kings all came to the centre where this young and handsome man stood. There was a strange light in the eyes of this young man, wisdom and the weight of the world radiated from them.

The young man raised his voice when all had arrived.
“Welcome Kings and other noble men, sons and daughters of Kings and noble men, the men and women in service of Kings and noble men, soldiers and others. Time is pressing and we are gathered here to settle a dispute between two Kingdoms. The rulers in these two kingdoms are here. Additionally other rulers from all around the Northern world are here to give of their wisdom in this dispute. Is this correct?”

There was unison clap of “Correct” from his audience.
“Good” said the young man. “Form camps in a semi circle around where I stand with the two kingdoms in dispute at the farthest ends”.
The rulers didn’t know each other by face and this was what was wanted. The Kings would walk, sleep and dine with their commoners, because at Althing all were equal. Also this would avoid the Kings being targeted and killed in their sleep by lawbreakers. It was against the law to murder when in session at Althing. Other petty disputes could be solved with a Holmgang.

At a stone nearby, a text were found. Who had written it nobody knew.
When the Norse members of the entourages walked by, they sensed power emitting from it.

    The text reads:

    The Game has begun…

I will now run your names through the assignment tool and roles will be picked for each and everyone of you.
When you get your PM and if your role needs to send me a PM, You have until tomorrow at 20:00 GMT to send it (deadline)

Spend this next 24 hours to familiarize yourself with the roles and get to know your companions.

I will be in the chat when I have finished the role assignments and sent all 36 pms.

    Beer, eh?

Why not. We're here for a boring lawsuit between our Kings. Might as well have some fun tonight.

and I hope it does not show (inexperience) during the game.

You all can drink your beers and behave like uncivilized macho-vikings while I go and read a story about Ragnar's love affair and then try the newest fur fashion collection from Hordaland.
