Default Rhodos 150 BC revolt CTD

My family member in Rhodos died in a very inconvenient time.
He had lots of influence, and once he was gone the civil order
    effect was cut in half.

The weird thing about Rhodos is that when rioting happens I don't
get informed of it. Instead, a few buildings get damaged each turn. And there
are a handful of extra unique buildings in Rhodos that help with public order
(one being the Colossus, of course). This could
be a good or bad thing, depending on how much you resorted to buildings to keep
civil order. In my case, it didn't matter because a) I couldn't recruit units fast enough to
keep disorder down, and b) rioting had damaged that city's MIC already.

By the time I finally noticed it it was too late. I was tight on gold those
few rounds and had to resort to cheats. And at VH/M difficulty, every turn
is an investment of time, cause you can easily end up having to fight 3-4
    battles.

So, after some frustrations and scouring the forums, I think I found a workaround.
This probably has been done already, but hopefully my post will be useful to someone
    else someday.

    1. Massacre your city's population.

    add_population Rhodos -20000

The population will dwindle by whatever amount you deem convenient.
However, it will still show that the city is still red (about to revolt and prob CTD).

EDIT: Skip 2a and 2b and try Mediolanicus's comment below first.

    2a. Move your capital.

While you can skip #1 and make Rhodos capital, you're gonna cause a bunch of other
settlements in the west to have civil unrest if you end the turn.

I moved mine from Patavium to Corinthos.

This step is merely to "refresh" the civil order. Because my population was down to
4k, the face turned from red to yellow.

2b. Move capital again to a place that maximizes taxes for the next round while still guarantee
    that Rhodos won't revolt.

The thing is I didn't suspect revolt CTD at first. I thought EB and many other mods
have it well under control. What I feared the whole time was the 66/67 BC that other
RTW mods have. Hopefully I'll never see this other CTD in EB.

In fact, my previous revolts in other cities were "fine", and
didn't follow with a CTD. Past revolts simply prompted me to reload and
move the capital right away to prevent revolt from happening.

Rhodos was a little peculiar in terms of revolt, though, cause it's simply a silent red face.

Actually, just changing the tax rate will "refresh" your civil order.

about the 6 thing... save something at least 4 turns before 66bc

if a CTD does happen , then load your previous save (67-68bc) and via FD and move_character you have to destroy 3 of the 4 roman factions. (Arche Seleukeia, Baktria, Saba (?), Hayasdan)

    Really??
The 60s BC CTD happened to you in EB?
    And that's the fix?

Oh well, at least it lets you continue the game then, even though AS, Baktra, Saba and Hayasdan
will become a bunch of Eleutherois.

The 60s BC CTD really ruins your parade.

the best way to fix the 66 BC problem, to my knowlege, is illegal. just save before the 66BC begins, and weather it, by turning the script off (at least it works for me)

Thanks for all the info you've given in anticipation of the dreaded 66 BC CTD.
One last question for now... What does FD that you mention mean or stand for?
