Default Adding new units to old EB version

    Hello,

is it possible, to take all the units (and factions) of EB 1.1 and import them to EB 0.72? Would it be possible to do by just switching a few .txts around? I only need the units to work in custom battle, I don't care for the campaign at all.
I want to make a video with the movie_cam feature and render it, that's why I have to go back to R:TW 1.2 (above, rendering out the movie is no longer working). Is there any other way to achieve this? Would it suffice to switch to EB using Barbarian Invasion and use a functional renderer there?

    Thanks.
    EB video guy.

<Maybe irrelevant, see edit further down>

Ok, I looked around the structures of both EB 1.1 and 0.72, tried to copy-paste texture and model folders, which didn't seem to do anything.
Then I stumbled upon the data\packs folder, which in EB 0.72 is filled with .paks containing unit models and data, as well as several other things. Am I right thinking that all the units' visual data (for 0.72) is stored here?
If that is the case, how would I go on changing (I already unpacked them) and repacking them with 1.1 data? I also found the names of the files and folders to be different in both versions (e.g. the ebroman_ or ebmount_ prefixes compared to the vanilla R:TW names). Could someone give me a short rundown of how the file structures differ in 1.1 and 0.72?

    Thanks!

    EDIT:
I did a complete 180 degree turn and just copied the whole 1.1 EB data folder over the old one of 0.72. After that I started the game and solved the problems that the resulting pop-ups mentioned (minor edits in descr_mount.txt, EDB and EDU with Windows editor).
After that, no more pop-ups occurred, but the game just crashed to desktop every time I tried to start (doesn't even show the menu). So I used the ProcMon tool advertised in the help forum and found out that the RTW process is trying to access some UI files I cannot find in either 0.72 or 1.1.
    These errors follow 2 patterns.

An example for the ProcMon output (Note: the forum may add some random spaces to the file names, these do not belong to the original output):

    1. pattern (missing file in UI folder):
    114538 20:15:38,8485608 RomeTW.exe 772 QueryDirectory E:\Spiele\RomeEB - Total War\Data\UI\GREEK\BUILDINGS\#greek_silk_rd_constructed.tga NO SUCH FILE Filter: #greek_silk_rd_constructed.tga

    2. pattern (what's this?)
114589 20:15:38,8527526 RomeTW.exe 772 CreateFile E:\Spiele\RomeEB - Total War\Data\UI\generic NAME NOT FOUND Desired Access: Read Data/List Directory, Synchronize, Disposition: Open, Options: Directory, Synchronous IO Non-Alert, Attributes: n/a, ShareMode: Read, Write, AllocationSize: n/a

That's where I am at currently. I'm still determined to get this to work, but I do need some help. Maybe someone knows the location of these files?

    Thanks!
