Then why didn't you just drive there? Or get a taxi? Or catch a bus? Or hail a cab? Or walk?
Well, as for pointers - Hope you can put up with bugs and glitches, but it's not all bad...

Yeah I'm fine and dandy with bugz and glitches. I've played several buggy games and loved them but there are a few in which I hate. Like bugs that really bug me or get me killed.

I sent an email asking if I can drive to pick it up but they said no and that they have to proccess the order and that is what takes time... lousey game buying company...

So it arrived around noon today and I have been playing it ever since...

Man there are moments when I love it and moments when I hate it.

Like when I kill an entire bandit base and that takes work I feel self pride, but then when I stumble upon a simple wolf it kills me in 3 hits

So how would you rate it compared to Morrowind (not Oblivion since I felt it lacked alot of what made Morrowind so awesome)?

    Hmm morrowind...

    they are in different areas

Morrowind is a really good RPG with more modern aspects to it

While Gothic seems like a lotr type RPG but where you cant create your own character

i will update more when im done playing for today

So you believe that Gothic is more of an action-adventure like Zelda?
(cause in Zelda you can't make your own character too, unless they've made it so you can in the past few years, haven't played Zelda since N'64)

Zelda is a good example. Think zelda with DnD additions and the fact that you can do free roam(like in morrowind) and you can choose to be evil or good.

But here are my first impressions of the game.

So after 15 hours of playing it in two days I had the feeling I was addicted. The wolves are a hard enemy to beat if you specialize in combat, but that makes it easier to liberate towns and what not( So you'd be more focused towards good unless you chose to do arena fights.) Archery is one of the toughies in the game. It makes them flinch but doesnt do the highest of damage, and if you can keep a good back petal going on and you always go for the critical spots(Hearts and Brains) it will do more damage.

While in morrowind, the more you train your attacks the more powerful they become.

Also the combat is pretty ingenious. For example when you fight an oppenent that has a sheild you get up nice and close to them and do a power swing knocking their guard off and so the shield goes off to the side. Then get in and do a quick 1 2 3 side slash then vertical slash combo and you most times get a critical.

Today ima take a break from it, cause I was supposed to get a haircut yesterday and that didnt happen cause I was playing it.

I take it you haven't fought a quazillion orcs at once yet?
Most of the time i end up spamming left mouse click = normal attacks, because when enemies are behind you the large swings keep them away from you but when you start making fast attacks, moving the sword only in front of you, death will come quickly and from behind. Oh and wait until they start throwing fireballs at you.

Generally getting more hitpoints is recommended, 400 or 600 should do, but 800 can't hurt either.

How do you get more hitpoints?? I thought it was stuck at 200?

Man And I've liberated almost every town and the Gazillion orcs were easy

But I learned to keep my distance from wolves and dragons, as they are the only ones I cannot beat... I hate to say. One time I was even killed by a snake. Wasn't watching where I walking and stepped on a snake it bit me, I had no anti poison and I didnt make it back to town in time... Man I had lost three towns because of that snake and my lack of F5-ing

You get them at shrines, Beliar or Innos doesn't matter.

I agree that animals are way harder to beat than humans or orcs, except if those humans or orcs have something that throws fireballs or many ranged guys, have you been in the icy north yet?
