    Default Le Tour de France!

And that is about all the French I know...

So do we have any Cycling fans here? I've stayed up the last couple of nights to watch the Tour (The stages finish at 1am at the earliest, 2am at the latest... damn you time zones!) and I have to say I have really enjoyed the experience of watching several full hours of cycling. The physical prowess of these athletes is outstanding!

The race has been pretty good this year (Not just because an Aussie is in the running. Go Cadel!) and the race has only just got to the Pyrenees and so there is still a long time to go before we start getting to the real endurance tests (I though the Col de Peresoul was a bit of a let-down, but hopefully the today's Col de Tourmalet will be a real test).

So anyone else out there watching this? Have any Frenchies gone out there to see it? Any ideas on who is going to win?

Pfft, cycling. It's not a real sport at all, just a past-time... as well as an efficient way of getting around.

I love watching the scenery, it's gorgeous. The greenery, and quaint villages. So bucolic.

I'm not a Tour fan. I find it about as exciting as spending four hours a day in a pharmacy waiting room.

Wish I would like cycling though, it's an interesting sport if you're into it. Some of my friends go nuts over it every year.

I run a sweepstake with my friends on the number of riders who'll be disqualified for doping, but that's about all the interest I take in it.

I occaisionally sit down for it, it's actually quite interesting and not as boring as you'd think. Downside is the drug problem the tour's been suffering from these numerous years, but that's sort of taken for granted nowadays anyway.

Cycling on a good bike is fantastic, and the level of fitness of these guys is absolutely amazing. Kudos to them. Don't like the organization of the Tour though, with its powerful lobby, and think the sport would be better off without it being such a lucrative event.
