The RTW engine, after 1.5, does not support the in-game video recording software. So regardless of whether the battle is custom, campaign or historic you cannot record it with RTW. You have to use a third-party video-capturing software.

Does anyone know why they disabled it?
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

They didn't disable it. It was a bug that was introduced with 1.3 presumably as a result of a bug fix elsewhere.

damn it was making a video of the battle of trasimene with the historical map editor it was gooding to be so good is there going to be EB 1.2 if you want I could give you the map the maps mostly right it's got a cliff face that shouldn't really be there but I could put pics up of it see what you think? and finish it off and script it to well I think script it, done some work on scripting but still learning

put in the old road and made the path to the sea short so it gose with the unit sizes

that cliff shouldn't be there but I cann't get rid of it

were the main ambush take place although the books I've got on it say different things

    I wish the replay worked:(

1.6 and 1.9 are based on the 1.3 architecture so no.

it was take from CA map of trasimene which funny like the modern place dose that CA for you

anyway bought the lake into were it should be flattened the land near the lake added the islands not sure if any should be a bit though out but didn't think you would be able to make them out in the fog which I put on dense fog CA had it on light which isn't that good and add the road and hills on each of the path which CA left out

used peter connolly to get the land scape checking my other books livy (best book I've read) john warry (don't know if here's that realible and my best modern historian adrian golds worth to make sure it looks like there's, peter connolly said to be unreliable but he's go a good airily view of the map

was going to do a 2 part video/film 1st part was going to be were rome got beat ending maybe with the gaulic ambush of the consul army in gaul (fall of the eagle) and 2nd was going to be there recovery and the ending of the 2nd punic war (the rise of the phoenix) that my dream destroyed

anyway is that a yes to making it a historical battle?
