    Default Sword Saints

hey could somebody post a bit of info about sword saints

Its just that i'm doing a mod for Rome, Shogun 2 and I need some info about this unit and if I should include it.

I know its not the right place to post about rome but on this issue I'm really stuck

So with that said plz don't cast my thread into oblivion and instead post some unit stats and pics and a little bit of info

What do you want to know about the unit? Just stats, or whether it should be included or not?
The purpose of a fish trap is to catch fish, and when the fish are caught, the trap is forgotten. The purpose of a rabbit snare is to catch rabbits. When the rabbits are caught, the snare is forgotten. The purpose of words is to convey ideas. When the ideas are grasped, the words are forgotten. Where can I find a man who has forgotten words? He is the one I would like to talk to.

not really I had it once a while ago but then I lost the disk and I can't remember anything about it exept for a few Samurai made from 2D sprites who used to fight battles like they were slaping each other remorselessly

Kensai, sword saints, whatever should have high attack, defence and some hit points but not jedi general kind of hit points but there is only one man per unit balenace wise they have red armor similar to Nodachi swordsmen and they used katanas. as far as cost goes make them expensive as well as having high upkeep but not an unrealistic amount and no bonuses or penalties in snow or trees, acutally you could make them like hashshasims just with different skins. hope this helps

You could take a look at the Kensai entry in FBE's unit guide.

What you make fun of is actually a robust mathematical model for hand-to-hand combat between large forces. Rome significantly degraded this model, and as far as I'm concerned is not worth the time and effort to port Shogun to it.

The Sword Saint is a huge mistake made by CA because single man units do not fit the combat model. You can't make them work properly. They made this mistake and others because the dev who designed the combat model was not involved in making the MI expansion.

    Thx

Since one man units seem stupid instead I've decided that fifteen troops whould work well

also I think that 2000 koku would be a good payment

I have a model for musashi mayamoto not sure that mayamoto is spelled correctly and to the previous poster who said that silly looking sprites is a (robust mathematical formula)
Clealy lost his cookies very long agorobust mathematical formula or not 3D vs 2D... hmmmmmm...PS It was only a joke not an invitation for cognitive dissonance

But thanks, all of you have been really helpful

    That'd be Miyamoto Musashi

And to an extent I agree with Puzz; Rome brought a couple of new things but left many out of the equation. To this day I still prefer Shogun over the other TW's.
