EB Problem - Missing Intro's

Hi,

I searched the forum but didn't found a real answer for my problem, so I will give it a shot ...


I can't start a campaign in EB (ver 1.1). When I choose a faction (Romani) and push the arrow, the game goes to the desktop and I see an empty black ActiveMovie window ...

I looked arround in the /data/fmv/intro directory and I saw loads of intros missing ... Only 2 intros are there ... When I try to start a campaign with the 2 factions which intros are in the directory, EB starts ...

Now , there is a placeholder movie intro which I tried to rename to Romani_intro.wmv ... Didn't work, Rome_intro.wmv either ...

So can someone please tell me how the intro files are called for all the factions or where I can download stub intro files ?

This is so not in the right forum at all. So I'll move it.

As for your problem, you need to turn off the movies. To do so follow these instructions:

a) Start Menu > All Programs > Europa Barbarborum > Configuration
b) In the EB Configuration menu make sure that "Turn Off Movies" is checked.
c) Save & Exit

Tried the -nm switch, but haven't noticed the property in the menu ...

wait a minute... there are intros? like actual cutscenes? all i get is the ?europabarbarorum? tile in the ?ruins? and it goes straight to the cutscene.

there's an intro for saka ,but not for the other factions I've tried , don't know why saka has one...

For Saka and Pahlava intros were done, so that's why they are there.
