Thanks for the response bovi :) though i have to admit i dont quite understand, yes im quite stupid, unfortunately. Are you referring to the link for vanilla patches? I clicked and and got 4 more links for patches, selecting what i think is 1.3 then was taken to a page showing a rather tranquil waterfall :)

try installing RTW , then update it to 1.5 and THEN change the whole folder (Activision or Creative Assembly) to somewhere else, say C:\Rome for EB
Mini-mod pack for EB 1.2 for Alexander and RTWSpoken languages:

no worries mate, thanks for the swift responses. Ive removed rtw once again just to be safe but cant be bothered to reinstall again today. Maybe give it another go tomorrow.
