Some reports say that the optimized script is less stable and leads to army-within-an-army and cloned generals crashes. I suggest you try with the script in the permanent fix and see if it makes it better for you.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.

I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image. - Stephen Hawking
Most likely not a fault of script. Script is not doing anything unusual.Could this be the culprit or not?
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR
This is just your personal subjective impression not backed up by any objective evidence.
Have you ever pined down circumstances when this happen?
For example I create client ruler save exit load and boom save is corrupted.
Many problems are associated with AI characters and script does nothing for AI. You can check the script if you don't believe me.
I had problems playing EB without using Client Rulers and none using a lot of client rulers.
I also made few wicked tests like creating lots of client rulers in the same city one after another, fighting with them in battle, adopting to family tree, killing on mass in the same battle making them faction leaders and killing them in battle all to no ill effects.
Since all reported problems are unrepeatable and client ruler script is very straight forward it makes me to believe that there are many factors at work here and pining it all at one simple script is not very plausible.
Edited:
As you can see I am using a lot of not definitive terms. While there are no hard proofs that Client Ruler script is creating all sort of troubles I also cant create test that will definitively prove that it doesn't create any problem.

I must say my problems with corrupted save games have nothing to do with client rulers, so I was just asking away to hear your opinions about this.
It is indeed just my personal subjective impression that this problem of save games going suddenly corrupt, which I never had before, started to turn up after the optimized script.
I think I'm going to stay with the script however, because else the game is very, very slow on my pc.
I shall start keeping save games every year for the last ten years of my campaign, instead of every 5 years like I do now. I hope this will save any future campaigns in which this problem turns up.
There's an alternative to the optimised script which is faster; manually cut the client section out of the permanent-fixed-but-not-optimised script. Or alternatively download this one I've already done.
If you really need client rulers, you can give recruited generals the Client Ruler trait through the console.

there's still the issue of Generals getting the family member trait LB
I'm still using the optimizedscript and I'min 222 with no problems so far...
