However, with your exquisite taste in music, babes, humor, and life in general I'm sure you'll be putting your non .Org time to good use

Damn, i was hoping this was just a misleading topic title, especially when i saw the author.

Always entertaining or intresting i remember amusing comments whilst topics are shut and warning points handed out, and some intresting storys.... i was going to say ill never forget the one about your dog, but i only remember the jist of it and that it was a pretty emotional story.

Hope you come back a lot! and heres hoping your replacement is half as entertaining, Peace (hippy emoticon needed here)

Good luck Beirut with your new pursuits, I hope they bring you happiness. I hope I end up half as friendly and good-natured
as you. I also hope you keep that axe sharp too, those pesky trees wont come down nicely on their own.

Beirut, may your axe never dull, your swings strike true and your crys never falter.

I am sure the Gameroom and Frontroom will miss your presence, but we will remember you.

We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

Good God, it's a genuine farewell to your virtual arms and online friends.

I will greatly miss you, dear chum. Not just because of your sense of humor, great use of smileys and sunny Frontroom moderation. I will miss you most of all for your well-reasoned, consistent and dogged (pun intended) Backroom posts about the Middle East, about WWII, Canadian politics, ethical issues and various other subjects.

Sorry to see you go Beirut.

Can't remember a time when you weren't a moderator here, but I guess real life does sort of catch up with you at times.

Good luck with whatever you'll be doing, and do make sure to come back at one point or the other.

The entire Org owes you a debt of gratitude for your brilliant service cheerfully and dutifully rendered day after day, week after week, year after year. You've been an inspiration to us all.

I join Banquo's Ghost and the others in taking the liberty of flattering myself by calling you "friend".

    Respectfully,

Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.

Wow, much has been said that I couldn't hope to match in eloquence. I'll just add my own sincere "Thank you" to the resounding chorus already happening. You made the Org a fun place to be a member. Take care of yourself and your family, hopefully someday you'll find your way back here. Until then...

Blimey, so BKS did ban you after all!

Are you packing in the .Org as well? If so that's a double whammy. A great moderator and contributor to these boards, you will be missed. Farewell old friend, farewell.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.
