that's very nice to hear, its a huge motivation to push ahead on EB2 when we can come here and see that EB1 is still a fun experience, and even better than M2TW. We'll see how you feel about M2TW mods when EB2 is released...

Thanks very much for the kind words to our group.

As Paullus says, this kind of gratitude certainly helps motivate the group as a whole to work towards EB2.

As to your final question, I assume it's a joke.

It's the least I can do.

Your assumption is correct. I just thought it rather odd that we haven't had an LS thread in a while.

Even with the better mods for it (Stainless Steel, Deus lo Vult, Broken Crescent), M2 is just utterly lifeless and boring compared to EB. This is one of my favorite game mods ever, and has made Medieval 1's dumb bastard little brother Rome TW finally worth playing. RTW spent years sitting in my cd rack til an early EB build came out, and with the release of .8, and especially 1.0 on, has probably become the most played game on my computer over the last year or so (and I don't see that changing anytime soon). Cheers to the EB team, believe me, I rave about this mod on other message boards every chance I get!

I'm going to echo the comments here, I've tried most of the major MTW2 mods and still come back to EB, Stainless Steel is the only one to hold my attention and even that loses out to EB. No way am I paying for MTW2 until EB2 is out
    Cheers all, viva EB2!

I vigorously agree with all of you and it's great to see you again TWF (I used to hang out with you at the RTWH at Heavengames before). EB has always fueled my love for ancient history ever since I downloaded and installed a few years ago, and it will always inspire me in my work and in my writing which is of course historical fiction about the Seleukids, Karthaginians, Romani among others. A couple of years from now if I get one of my stories finished and published I will have a special thanks and dedication to EB and the great EB team.

EB is far and away the best single-player campaign experience in all of the world of TW - I am thoroughly addicted and I don't play SP campaigns in any other game or mod anymore.

In fact the only reason that I still have M2TW installed is to play hotseat campaigns against other humans - BC has proven to be the best mod for that, but I'm sure EB / EB2 would be even better if it were possible.

Alas, the very strength of EB (the highly developed script) also makes it impossible to use for hotseat...ah well, you can't have everything I suppose!
    frogbeastegg's TWS2 guide....it's here!

Come to the Throne Room to play multiplayer hotseat campaigns and RPGs in M2TW.
