    Default ungarrisoned problem

ok, i just realized that my city flags when there is no garrison are vanilla, not my new flags. i have gone into models_strat and changed the pictures, but they arent showing up. any help would be appreciated. im using a mod folder. ive looked for simple things, but mightve missed something. there isnt a text file referencing them is there?
    thanks

yeah, all the battle map stuff works fine

im talking about the campaign map flags. the garrisoined flags work fine, but the empty city flags dont read.... any ides. is the saving format the same as the unit dds files? because thats what theyre saved as right now...

more direct, whats the saving format for the models_strat/textures flags?

ah wasn't sure you were right about them being the model_strat ones but you are... just checked

the textures aren't referenced directly. descr_sm_factions tells it what model to use eg:
    symbol models_strat/symbol_sarmatians.CAS
then it looks in the textures folder for the corresponding texture (the CAS file would have had default texture specified when it was saved).
Texture save format is the same as for units eg: .dds DXT5 setting

You might need to make sure your mod-folder also contains a copy of the symbol_sarmatians.CAS
in the model_strat folder - otherwise if it doesn't find that there it might go up a level to look for that and the texture.

Also double check they are named exactly as the vanilla ones, eg:
    #banner_symbol_faction_name.tga.dds
don't forget the .tga part of the file name or the # at the beginning.
