    Default Music

    Hello

I've been searching the forum but didn't find nothing on this subject.
Anyway I've been enjoing total war music since the time of Shogun and was thinking if there is a way to extrat the music from your mod just to enjoy it or if there's a download one can do to get just the music?

    Thanks

    EB/data/sounds/music folder has them all.

Ok I've found it, didn't think it would be so easy, some of the music of Shogun was in a wierd format.

Having a blast with this music, I agree with the Saka, theres something very charming about it, its almost as if those guys had pleasure in fighting and reminds me of Shogun-warlord edition, the Mongol music.

Like the roman sounds too, I guess they don't sound too imperial and that feels great, just common people, common romans.
In gerenal the music is great and the voice efects too.

    Great work guys
    Thank you

Dunno, don't think it was like that for me.

As for the instruments, I was going to save all that info for a preview on the Eastern and Nomadic authentic tracks, but needless to say I use a range of drums ranging from the dap/daf and tympanon frame-drums, proper kettle-drums (Of wood... Unfortunately we did not have resources to burn clay let alone install furnaces for the purpose), tabor/davul, horse-shoes and finger-clamps. The wood-winds are a wide range of horns, and the "bag-pipe" like sound comes from an Iranian wood-wind instrument called Zûrnêy which means "strong flute". Needless to say, there is a native Iranian-style bag-pipe which is largely made of lamb's skin, called "Nêy-Ambân". I use unison vocals a lot too, and these are both samples or soundfonts and generated sounds. That should paraphrase the description of the battle/mobilization pieces.
Very interesting. The music sounded very inspiring and beautiful.

Whoever composed the Main theme to EB deserves a medal. One minor complaint about some of the music, is that some of the battle music sounds like the 'charge' horns. I remember spending a good while in a battle looking for a chargfe that hadn't actually existed.

I really dislike the new barbarian music though, historically correct or no, I....dont like it, and that prevents me from playing the barbarian factions

EDIT: Changed my wording a bit so it wont seem offensive

Put it on an mp3 player and try jogging to some of it. You'll be tranced out in no time. :D

I really like it personally, but there's a way to switch it if you want by replacing the music files, should be on the forum here someplace.

Still, commenting that that music makes your ears hurt is a bit off, in my opinion.

Funny it was a Aedui campaign that got me in the mood to enjoy the music.
It sounds different, more ethnic perhaps, thus more original to my hears.

And this efect is present in many culture groupes, for example the carthaginians/karthadastim have great voice efects and music.

We find more then Rome in this mod, thats the charming thing about it.

I did not mean that in any offenssive way. I like the music they made, just not the barbarian one.

But I will edit my post to put something else there. Prolly will replace it by something else, maybe heavy metal? No that makes my ears/head hurt even more...
