For a democrat, I would say this man is padding his resume. I mean, in demo circles this guy will be a saint when it finally breaks on the mainstream. Fathering another child with another woman while his wife is being eaten away with cancer? This guy should be the democrat nominee, not Osama Bin Obama Messiah.

But Edwards was a prime Dem Pres contender and was (
is?, as Seamus asks) being highly considered for Veep position with Obama. He was in direct running for nomination when the story of this first broke, I believe.
Gingrich has been known of for years so an admission isn't super big news.
And did any news source forbid staffers to talk about Gingrich before his admission?
Funny to see all the lefties shrug it off as "everyone does it..."

It's common enough sort of thing I don't really get what the big deal is supposed to be. Although my guess is the main thing is he's a Dem and the Rep crowd wants to air their silly persecution complex...

How is it not already in the mainstream? It's all over the late night comedy shows.

DIsco, do yourself a favor, and do
not interfere with their outrage. Just step back and let it happen.
The more and more I think about it. Bill Clinton had it right after all. This new generation of sex scandalized politicians could learn a thing or two from old promiscuous Bill. If you only get your cigar smoked, your alright. Lesson of the day for Edwards, stop at the smoking don't go on to the spunk dumpster diving.

I think he was being serious, Lemur.
I don't watch late night shows like those... because they generally suck. But it's good to hear it's being covered somewhere.

Yeah, Jay Leno ran it ever night last week, which I guess reinforces both your points.
Also I'm pretty sure late night comedy shows have more influence then most news outlets.
Speaking of which, anyone know if The Cobert report covered it?
So this insignificant little speck of a story that isn't getting any coverage is getting media coverage then .
I'm outraged I tell ya .

What a scumbag... although I wouldn't feel too sorry for Elizabeth. She loves to tout her cancer every time hubby is down in the polls.

Sadly, I am not able to watch those, do to my early morning work schedule. Alas, cruel world.
Good to hear Edwards is getting some humiliation.
