    Default KTM on custom battle start.

    This battle loads and saves perfectly in the editor but doesn't load in battle just kicks back to the choose historic battle menu.

    Does it not give an error when exiting?

    Is it meant to be "the_Mighty" with the underscore???

    Try putting in deliberate errors in the unit names (it does report those) and see where it is being read too.

    There's no error when exiting other than one about regions.txt from the campaign.

    The underscores are fine its first name: "Boromir" last name "the_Mighty".

    I believe its reading all the way to the bottom of the units because it gives an error when I change the last name in the list so its reading up to that point.

    The text associated with the {the_Mighty} internal surname is "the_Mighty"???

    Anyway, maybe it is to do with the settlement then. Those can be fiddly things. Is it for BI or RTW?

    HBs normally create reports on exits after KTMs in my experience. Common mistakes anyway.

    The regions text may be masking another error report - you should resolve that one first.

    The regions thing is a P in the A. I dont know how to fix it it keeps telling me the region andrast is not found in the stringtable.

    Its for BI and it is a custom settlement (bollocks) so it could be that but it should be fine from what i've done previously. I would have thought that if the settlement wouldn't work it would freeze sometime during the load bar not before it.

    Dunno...I'd resolve that regions problem though or else you're gonna be blind to other error messages. It sounds like a coding error that could have fatal consequences.

    EDIT: Also, you have assigned named character names to generals - try removing the surnames altogether.

    I dont know anything about the campaign map files - I believe Burns did that. The error is:

    Couldn't find region name 'Andrast' in stringtable.
    I dont know what the stringtable is but I guess I need to fiddle with that .

    As for the names Boromir actually isn't a named character in metw - Denethor is only 16 at the beginning of the campaign.

    EDIT: I believe I've found the solution to the error.

    EDIT2: It didn't fix it. The stringtable is the text files but it isn't finding the file which is in the right place.

    The region entry in descr_regions.txt has an extra space character, so it reads "Andrast ". Just get rid of that space.

    Fixed it. Seemed the base folder was searching in the BI regions and settlements for metw regions and settlements.
