Thread: Introduction and Thanks

    Default Introduction and Thanks

Hi all. You don't know me, but as I have read the forums for quite some time, I know many of you. I finally decided it was time to register and actually, you know, post something. In any case, here I am.

To the EB team, both current and past members: thank you so much for such a fantastic mod. I have played since the very final days of 0.8, and I am continually astounded by the depth and veracity of the material contained in your work. Despite having played off and on for some time, I am still discovering new things about the mod. It is a credit to the entire team.

It has been said before by many people, but I just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of thanks. Your dedication is much appreciated!

Welcome to the Org, and enjoy your stay!

You've spent some time here before, so hopefully you'll be used to the more... extravagant members of the community.

And if you ever turn to RTR, you'll have a mob on your hands faster than you can say "EB"!

Well, if at least one person (ie me) counts as a mob, then yes, they'll get a mob.

glad to have you here, and guys: we (EB) don't appreciate talk about other mods that could be construed as remotely negative. they, like us, work really hard producing a product for free consumption. when there's no compensation, competition just seems a little silly. after all, we're all trying to extend the shelf-life of games like RTW and M2TW.

Right, sorry paullus, and others, if I've seemed too unappreciative of the work of the RTR team. I do agree that the idea of competition between mods is rather stupid.

well, I think you were mainly joking, you're not on my hate list (you know, the users who won't be able to see the images in the next preview!), and thanks for apologizing, I respect that.

I bet I'll be appearing on that list though, haha.

Welcome aboard, friend. This mod is excellent. Stop by the AAR sub-forum and read some of the great stories that have been written about it. I can recommend Chirurgeon's Iberia Rising, Aaldaemon's Flight of the Dragons, Hooahguy's story if you like comedy, as well as my own Aeduan saga(shameless plug). Welcome!

    Thanks guys!

Theodotos: I have been reading the forums for some time, and have followed a few of the AARs during that time. I am sorry to say I have not had a chance to read yours, but I will make it a point to check them out.
