Those are incredible statistics. I seriously didn’t think they would be so skewed to the side of minorities.Nearly 78 percent of the victims were black. Add in Hispanics, and you account for 98 percent of all shooting perps and 97.5 percent of their victims.
Somehow I am sure it is all whitey's fault.

Metropolitan areas in the U.S. have a horrible problem with minority crime rates. The victims also tend to be predominantly minorities. It's sad and people don't want to realize it because it brings race into the discussion.

It has to do more with income level than with culture... there are plenty white neighborhoods with rampants crime and drug abuse, just as there are black, hispanic, younameit areas with bad crime rates. Poverty is the common denominator. The bad part is that it has become a self-sustaining chain reaction.

There are more "poor" whites in the U.S. than poor blacks.

Yes, and poverty is color-blind. I had the misfortune of living for several years in the cloaca of a city known as Flint, Michigan and had first hand experience with poverty of all sorts and all colors.

How are white crime rates in Flint?
My point is that this is a cultural problem. ACLU's exacerbate the problem by pitting minorities against the police, not the poor against the police. Minority youth culture in the U.S. generally celebrates crime and unethical behavior. Is Aids a poverty issue? No - it is a cultural issue that devastates black communities in the U.S. To ignore these facts makes the fight harder.
