Hi all,
Apparently, every time I have a heroic victory, there is a CTD and I have to refight the battle...the second time there is no CTD....it's very annoying any ideas why this would happen?
Thanks.

It's a hard coded RTW vanilla glitch. It is common in RTW, and has nothing to do with EB. (btw, make sure you save often and/or have enough RAM)
I have 2GB or RAM....and I'm using Alex.Exe. I do have autosaves turned on though, how do I turn those off? Would that even help?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It's an RTW bug. Wait 10-15 seconds after getting the summary screen before clicking on continue. Tends to eliminate this one altogether.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

Do I NEED to view the summary screen? I frequently leave it on the ###s dead/alive/remaining screen and let the music play off (which is definitely more than 10-15 seconds) and only then do I click out and it still happens...
This bug is incredibly annoying b/c it always happens after a very hard won battle....
Again, any further help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I would say no. I play with auto save all the time, no problem.I do have autosaves turned on though, how do I turn those off?Would that even help?
In my current campaign (64 years ) I had ony 2 mid battle CTD and both happened before battle begun.
Try the waiting thingy.

Also take a backup of map_regions.tga and copy corrected_regions.tga to replace map_regions.tga. Delete map.rwm and see if it helps.

This wont work if you are using Trivial Script to start EB.Delete map.rwm and see if it helps.
In such case. Delete map.rwm, delete map.rwm in "Sp game edu backup".
Run EB. Copy map.rwm to "Sp game edu backup"
Thanks guys, but before I try this, is this change save game compatible or do I hose my campaign?
Thanks again.

It is savegame compatible. Do note the point about making a backup though. Take a backup of map.rwm just in case too.

And to be clear, by Summary screen you mean the screen that shows trait changes and experience changes and not just the Living/Dead page, right?
I have exercised my new moderator powers and moved the ensuing discussion over how to apply corrected_regions.tga here to avoid clutter.
