Formations

This may be a dumb question. It may be listed somewhere easily found on this website, but I haven't seen it. Sorry if so.

Sometimes, especially when defending closing packed streets in towns, or in other times your units will change ranks or formation. Is there a way to change unit ranks/formations in or out of battle?

I assume you mean the number of ranks in a single unit's formation? If so:

Select the unit. Right-click and hold over an area, and move the mouse pointer around. You'll notice you can change the unit's facing and number of ranks. The same technique can be used with multiple selected units.

I hope this is what you meant. Btw, I could use another red balloon.
