Hmm, so you can't even get to POST ? (POST is when the logo of your computer/motherboard manufacturer is displayed.)

yeh, 90% of the time I can't even get to see POST. 5% of the time I do get to it, I press a single button and the screen fuzzes up and crashes.

5% of the time I get past post to the login, and the screen turns purple-green and crashes.

In that case you may require a whole new motherboard; meaning if you bought your PC ready-made you should check if you are not better off buying a new one.
