is it accurate that they use monterfino helmets?
I thought they used this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:R...segmentata.jpg

and also shouldn't the Cohors Praetoriana use those pratorian(?) helmets?

Legionaries in the Republican period wore Mail and the Montefortino Helmet. Segmentata is a later invention outside the timespan of EB.

Cohors reformata was after the Marian reforms, as you probably know. at this point in time, the most effecient helmet in terms of cost to manufacture and protection given. later on, the other hemets, like that one in the picture.

That legionary is an imperial legionary, and is wearing the Corbridge 'A' armour, which would put him at around 42 AD, which is much later than EB. The Helmet is The Imperial Italic type, but I'm not sure exactly which one. Even so, that helmet only came to use in the 1st Century AD.

That'seeffectively a crap legionary. Early imperial armour, but much later helmet. He is teh weard.

In this picture they also wear monterfino helmet and I doN't think the armor is a lorica segmentata. But I haven't used these soldiers in game yet and I'm not a historian. I'd like to be enlightened about this though...

I think that IS the montefortino helmet. not sure. That armour is Chain mail, or Loica Hamata if you want to sound clever.
In the time period of the marian reforms in EB, there were about 15 different helmets, so I guess the team just chose the most popular.
    Glad to enlighten :D

Quoted from the Wiki article with that picture : "Lorica segmenta, or the iron band armor, was only commonly worn between the 2nd and 3rd century AD."

    (hint : EB = 272BC - 14AD)

he was asking about the helmet, not the armor...
