    Default Kingdoms/1.3?

    Does Version 2.3 work on Kingdoms or 1.3? This looks a great mod, but I'd hate to have to go back to 1.2

    Version 1.2 of M2TW is the mininium this mod needs. It will run on 1.3 and 1.5.
    4 Seasons (6 Empires battle for supremecy); 3.0 version
    Total War Eras (start at 970, 1080, 1200, 1300, 1400, or 1500); 2.4 version
    Eras Total Conquest (start at 1230, 1346, 1547); 1.2 version

    Catch me up. Is 1.5 the last Kingdom patch, from IIRC April?

    This mod only requires the 1.2 patch to work. Patching it to 1.3 or higher does not cause a problem.

    The latest Kingdoms patch is the 1.5 one (I don't know how this differs from the 1.3 patch). Total War Eras is at version 2.4, and Eras Total Conquest (Kingdoms version) will start at 0.1 (beta version).

    Since I have a working beta I guess I could release it for beta testing, though I'll make a new thread for testers. Currently I've only made the 1230 campaign.

    Ok, thanks. I've seen the other thread. ONE REQUEST: Can you please 100% purely use mod command, I just don't feel comfortable with the idea of other files other than vanilla, in vanilla folders.

    Oh yeah, right. I used the other day to try to get Eras to work with Kingdoms. It seems some mild editing of that bat is the only thing needed, medieval2.exe to kingdoms.exe is about all I know have experience with, even after hours of trying this and that.


    I'm not willing to play this until it all gets its own lil folder.

    The shared.sd and strategy.sd are needed to add extra faction shields to M2TW (they tell M2TW which files to look in). I only add them to the vanilla version because if they're not present in the vanilla folder the mod won't display correctly. Since I need to add a minium of 7 new shields to represent the new factions there's no way I can make this mod correctly without them.


    To get Eras to work with Kingdoms you need to edit the 'export_descr_character_traits.txt' files, so the trait 'PriestLevel' is a hidden trait (it took me ages to track down this problem since the mod would just crash without telling me this).

    To do this you have to change:

    Trait PriestLevel
        Characters priest
    To this:
    Code:
    Trait PriestLevel
        Characters priest
        Hidden
    Remember to do this for all 7 traits files or when you change campaign the mod will load and incorrect file and won't work.
