Compared to my friends I was rather late with 17 years, was on vacation in France and fell madly in love with a french girl. It was great really, bit awkward but was the first time for both of us. Really good memories.

The funny thing about me is that I am a sex junkie. I really do believe I am addicted to sex but I have never done it before, crazy. Though I came very very very close, A relationship I had 4 years ago now, my first ever relationship, we were naked, we were both there and ready and she just looked at me and asked "Do you want to, Sarathos?" now no respect to my lovely ex-girlfriend, but it just felt wrong somehow. I think back now and kick myself because I will never know what it is like but I know I made the right decision in saying no because if i did say yes, although it would of happened, I know I would of regretted it.

We did do quite a bit of other stuff though, I must say we were nervous but we were comfortable with each other so it was ok.

4 years on and I have met another super fantastic woman and it is fast approaching our 1 year anniversary. I am very respectful and have no plans on doing it at all really, but if it happens, I know it will be right.

I do believe it helps if you are with my right woman, thats what I think anyway. I don't really regard 'it' as much but the first time is special and you only live life once.

One thing I will always remember is my first kiss, well my attempt at a kiss. I was so scared back then, but now when I look back all I can do is laugh.

Why would you've regretted it?
You were both comfortable with each other. You were both willing (or at least she was).
Wanting it to be extra special will only result in a dissapointment. You're first time is almost garanteed to be special on its own.
I can appreciate you're unwillingness to pressure a girl into something she doesn't want to do, willingly or unwillingly, but I don't see what kept you back.

You're first time is a huge barrier, even more so for a girl. But once you've done 'it', it's more or less just a next step in a relationship. Heck, I had sex for the first time after 1 year of being in a relationship. We had sex after maybe 4 days in my second serious relationship.

Whatever happens you're almost guaranteed to NOT regret you're first time. You may have read the story of my first time, which was anything but magical. And still I don't regret that first time and I doubt you will regret your first time.

I was nervous the first time i had sex but my first kiss was far more nerve racking, i think by the time i had sex i basically knew what i was doing, whereas when it came to my first kiss its was touch lips, insert tongue... ok can't usually see whats happening inside the mouths on this bit on the movies... just mimic the girl back....

Tho as for being a sex addict and never having sex...I think it's your hormones going animalistic on you... look at it this way, at least you don't have to worry about not being into having sex when you're married or whatever imho. You'll always be "wanting" it in a sense so you'll always be having a good sex life if you get hitched. That's how I look at it anyways so there's nothing to sweat about when ya get older hopefully anyways
