So, I am playing Saba on the recommended difficulty settings on 1.1, harassing the walless cities of Arabia. All was well, until I took a ridicuolously understaffed army to attack a city (in an attempt to honourably dispose of a no-longer-needed Client ruler). As it happens his support cavarly and my archers kicked ass, reducing the much stronger rebel army to a family members unit and some arabian nobles before the time ran out.
The first strange thing was that, when said time ran out, it was not a draw but a close defeat for me, (maybe I am a little foggy on the rules, but I thought when an assaulting army ran out of time it was a draw?). But no matter, I had reduced the town's garrison to nearly nothing. Or had I? As it turned out, almost the whole garrison of the rebel town had been healed, except for a unit or two of slingers. This was a bit dissapointing for my army, who had lost a unit of Archer-spearmen in vain. So, do enemy garrisons get incredible healing bonuses, or is this just rather bad luck on my part?
Also, is there any way to "selectively remove" (cheat) enemy units from an enemy garrison? Yes I know my gamers moral compass is askew, but I am in no mood to fight a fully refurbished unit of Ethiopian swordsmen again.
