Can someone explain how to use this mod with steam? How to install and where? Which is better and easier to use Alexander Mod or MiniMod? Thanks!

I'd suggest checking out the changes both mods make which are listed in their threads in first post.
I prefer and play the minimod, as it is a simple "Extract&forget"-thing you can even customise with some additional patches offered (e.g. switching off Citymod if you don't like it) and stuff. A great deal easier to install
I can't help you much with the installation with steam as I don't have the steam copy, but these mods all go exactly the same where you have put your EB installation![]()
I struggled to get Alex.exe to work with Steam, what I did in the end was to install EB in my Alexander folder. Then go to the games tab in Steam, select Alexander and click Properties, select Set launch options and type -mod:eb -show_err -nm -noalexander in the box.
http://files.filefront.com/Alexander.../fileinfo.html
Then download that file and you will be ready to go.
The link I provided is just EB Alexander, I haven't tried the mini mod pack. Check the mini mod pack thread in the Unofficial mods forum for where to install that.
I just checked the download link for Alexander EB, you will need to open it with winrar or something similar. You won't be able to simply extract it into your folder as the file name is wrong, so double click on Rome - Total War when it opens then move the two files inside into your Alexander folder.
if you wish to have EB as it is BUT using alexander.exe use the Second link in my signature... the links provided in the first post are outdated and... I can't change them myself <.<

Mini-mod pack for EB 1.2 for Alexander and RTWSpoken languages:
